Maggie Conley
Maggie Conley, owner of Wahine Retreats, spent most of her childhood growing up in California as well as Kauai, Hawaii where her parents retired while she was in high school. Her passions as a young girl were horses and going to the beach. She attended a small college in the mountains of Colorado for two years where she studied outdoor education. After graduating from the University of Washington with degrees in drama and education, Maggie taught for a few years before going to work for a private recreation company as their Regional Recreation Director. This job had her traveling all over the country organizing and leading activities for families and seniors. The birth of her first child necessitated she stay closer to home so she focused on raising her family while teaching parenting and early childhood education at a local community college. She and her husband live in the Wallowa Valley of Oregon and enjoy their property surrounded by their horses and wild life. Her love of nature and her zest for adventure has been a big part of Maggie's adult life. She spends her free time hiking, backpacking and for the past three years has immersed herself in the practice of Hatha yoga. Maggie is excited to offer women the opportunity to experience activities that encourages growth and self awareness. |
